(GREENSBORO) – The Atlantic Coast Conference’s statistical leaders in total offense and touchdown responsibility and 10 players who earned first-team, second-team or honorable mention All-Conference honors this past season secured spots on the 42-member 2009 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Football Team, announced Wednesday by Commissioner John Swofford.

(CHARLOTTE) -- Sonic Automotive, Inc. reported its second quarter adjusted earnings from continuing operations were $15.6 million. This is up 41% from adjusted earnings from continuing operations in the same period in 2009. The Charlotte-based company saw new vehicle sales increased 19% in the quarter and sale of used vehicles increased 23%.

(NEW YORK, NY) -- IMG Worldwide inc., a global sports, entertainment and media company announced Wednesday that it will buy Winston-Salem based ISP Sports. ISP is a multi-media rights holder to over 50 university athletic programs across the country, including Duke, Wake Forest and East Carolina.

(CHAPEL HILL) -- With the help of a grant from the North Carolina Energy Office, a new internship and fellowship program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will focus on building a skilled clean energy workforce in North Carolina. A renewable energy student fee will be combined with the nearly $325,000 grant to fund the program.
