The New Adventures of Old Christine
THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, the hilarious ensemble comedy from Kari Lizer (Will & Grace), stars Emmy® Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld, Deconstructing Harry, Saturday Night Live), Clark Gregg (Choke, Ironman, Spartan, The Human Stain, The West Wing), Hamish Linklater (Fantastic Four, Live from Baghdad, Gideon's Crossing), Trevor Gagnon (Shorts, Fly Me to the Moon, Iron Jawed Angels, Big Fish), Emily Rutherfurd (Van Wilder, The Ellen Show, Will & Grace), Tricia O'Kelley (Gilmore Girls, Weather Girl), Alex Kapp Horner (Maggie Winters, Weather Girl) and Wanda Sykes (The Wanda Sykes Show, Evan Almighty, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Wanda at Large).
Divorced working mother Christine Campbell (Louis-Dreyfus) attempts to juggle the daily stresses of motherhood and business — which doesn't mean she isn't prone to taking NyQuil to get to sleep or leaving voicemail messages to herself in the middle of the night. She owns a women's 30-minute workout gym with Barb (Sykes), her best friend, and gets along better with her ex-husband, Richard (Gregg), than they ever did when they were married. Then Richard began dating a nice, young, impossible-to-hate woman also named Christine (Rutherfurd), who quickly became known as the "new" Christine; this, by default, made the original Christine "old." Not exactly a boost to the ego.
Christine's 13-year-old son, Ritchie (Gagnon), is starting middle school at the posh private school where Christine endures endless encounters with two snooty, stay-at-home "meanie moms," Marly (O'Kelley) and Lindsay (Horner). Keeping Christine grounded is her younger brother, Matthew (Linklater), who lives with her, helps to care for Ritchie and serves as her emotional rock.
THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was created by Kari Lizer (Will & Grace, Boston Common, Maggie Winters) and is executive produced by Lizer and Andy Ackerman (Two and a Half Men, Seinfeld, Becker, Wings, Cheers, Frasier).
